You couldn’t guess from a glance that 8 Golden Skulls is Buck Stakes Entertainment’s first effort at a slots title. The graphics are excellently executed, with reels full of colourful, characterful symbols set against an evocative ocean sunset backdrop. The game’s highest paying symbols are provided by the all-female crew of this pirate ship. Pirates, it turns out, don’t wear name tags, but we’re guessing that the raven-haired buccaneer in the purple captain’s hat is Holly Rogers herself, and the four other ladies, clad in gold, red, blue and green, are her crew.

Of course, no pirate adventure would be complete without the promise of plunder and 8 Golden Skulls delivers with overflowing Treasure Chests and glistening Diamonds enticingly arrayed across its reels.


Gameplay

8 Golden Skulls of Holly Rogers Megaways has an excellent collection of features that keep the gameplay as fresh and exciting as an adventure on the high seas should be. This is a Megaways game, like the smash hit Diamond Mine Megaways, so you have up to 117,649 win lines to play across, and the Rolling Reels feature means that winning symbols are removed and replaced with new symbols, potentially triggering chains of wins.

The Treasure Chest are mystery symbols and can turn into any other symbols after landing, while the Skulls are special Firepot Scatter symbols. Land three or more Skulls anywhere on the board to win the Firepot prize listed to the left of the board. The game has a second set of Scatters, too: the Diamonds symbols. OK, so, the pirate theme may not be the most original choice for a slots game.
