Every time we see a candy land depicted on screen, it’s usually got heavy tones of pink and white. An homage to marshmallows perhaps? Candyland benefits from this too, with a nice pink background, floating reels and delectable treats presented front and centre.

The main symbols are all comprised of chewy sweets. Cola Bottles, Strawberries, Fried Eggs, Lemon Drops, Candy Canes and other delights which bring back memories of childhood parties. Gameplay

The reel layout is clear and easy to understand with the three main buttons appearing at the bottom centre of the screen. Autobet, spin and maximum bet, colour coded in blue, green and red to help us when we want to change our playing style.

It’s just a shame that the sound button isn’t more prominent as the happy-go-lucky music can be jarring after a while! But that’s a matter of opinion. The paylines are easily understandable with an in-game menu presenting a clear picture of what to expect. The nine paylines are also represented by Love Hearts on the side of the reels – there really is no escaping sweets on this slot.

The purple Liquorice sweet might not be everybody’s tastiest treat but it is on the Candyland slot as it acts as our Scatter. It only has to appear once to give us five free spins and twice for ten.
