If you can name a slot developer that would better suited to send up Ocean’s Eleven in online slot form than ELK Studios we’d be glad to hear it. Graphics

ELK brings a cartoonish tilt to the heroes of this heist adventure, with Mr. Lake the moose taking the place of Danny Ocean as the sting’s mastermind. He is joined by five friends - Elmer the elephant, Pete the parrot, Mike the Monkey, Genie the goldfish and Alf the alligator - and by a medical Bag and a Diamond in a goldfish bowl as our other game symbols.

Our mission is to rescue Lily, the town’s favourite monkey, from Mr. Romano and “rescue” some of his stash along with it. The bright lights of the city and Romano’s tower form the backdrop to our action, while Mr. Lake only appears as a Wild when we land two or more Lake’s Five logos on either reels 1, 3 or 5.

Then Mr. Lake turns into a Walking Wild, completing any wins and walking down the re-spinning reels until one of the Mr. Lake’s falls off the bottom of the reels, or until we land a third Lake’s Five symbol to trigger The Heist bonus game.


Gameplay

Landing three Lake’s Five symbols triggers The Heist bonus game, at which point we find ourselves in the heart of Mr. Romano’s tower.

Lily is in a cage, but to rescue her we need to collect nine keys, three each on reels 1, 3 and 5 from the 10 free spins we have during the feature. On the top of those reels we see Walking Wild, Sticky Wild and Climbing Wild signs. Each key we land earns us an additional free spin, and with any or all of these Wild features triggered this could prove an extremely lucrative heist indeed.

When the Wilds walk or climb their way into each other, they add extra multipliers to further boost our bonus game winnings.


Verdict

The 178 Ways pay structure means that we have plenty of opportunity to make the most of the stacked symbols during the base game, but these winning chances are magnified when we land two Lake’s Five logos to bring on the Walking Wild Mr. Lake.

With effectively two Scatters already present, we need only land a third to trigger the Heist Bonus game and a shot at rescuing Lily and scooping a haul of Mr. Romano’s cash.

When we unlock the three kinds of Wild during the feature we will have a real shot at epic wins, the like of which Danny Ocean and his eleven would be proud to take home.
