Developing Mobile Slot Partnerships

Everybody needs a helping hand sometimes. Only the other day I helped an elderly person cross the road. Sure, they didn’t’ actually want or need the help, and was clearly aggrieved at the enforced piggyback I gave her, but the intention was there. It’s not just everyday people who need help, either. The big guns do too. And we’ve noticed. Especially with the continuing trend for online slots developers to work with other independent slots studios.

Slot Buddies

Microgaming is already known as one of the key slot developers. Just by taking a look through its portfolio we can see how its responsible for some of the biggest slots around. And that includes major licensed movie adaptation slots like the superb Jurassic World. But often it has teamed up with other developers, such as JFTW or Skillzz Gaming. In fact, the latter pairing gifted us with Fruit Blast, a completely new instant win experience, more akin to a mobile matching symbols game than a slot. It makes sense, then, that developers such as Microgaming team up so they can increase its reach, portfolio and attract new players. Fruit Blast certainly got our attention, as it did yours.

Then we have NYX Group, a conglomerate of developers that spent its time joining up independent studios, resulting in the group being snapped up by Scientific Gaming. Following that, we saw the launch of SG Digital, a new name that brings us slots from in-house development studios such as Bally, Barcrest and NextGen.

It’s Not All Business

When we hear news of new acquirements, we do sometimes think that perhaps the world of slot development is a cutthroat one. But thankfully for us, we can just enjoy the end results. And when it puts players at the core of its business, that means we get next-generation slots, instant win games, mobile enhancements and, above all, more choice. So we’re pretty chuffed about them helping each other out. It certainly helps us, too.
