Inside ICE 2019

We’re right in the midst of Totally ICE Gaming 2019 and to say it’s been exciting would be like saying a real life trip to Jurassic Park is exotic. We’ve been dancing along to the Village People, hearing discussions on the latest regulations in Japan and even seen Tyson Fury at a product launch. What more could we ask for?

ExCeLling In The Slots World

Taking place at the London ExCeL centre, this year’s ICE brings together 612 exhibitor brands from 67 countries! We’ve seen some of the more serious topics being discussed, such as the CEO Japan of MGM resorts talking about the latest move on Japan’s integrated resorts, opening up new possibilities in markets in the Land of the Rising Sun.  And we’ve seen 23 start-up companies present their pitches at the Pitch ICE stage, trying to win over the big companies’ hearts, minds and development budgets.

ICE is the perfect launch stage. The proof in the pudding is Just for the Win, the studio that brought us such super hot titles as Reel Talent and Deco Diamonds slots thanks to its close slots development partnership with Microgaming. And, on the second day of ICE, the partnership revealed its Shogun of Time slot. Then there’s Triple Edge Studios who worked with Microgaming to reveal the new Lara Croft Temples and Tombs sequel we’ve been waiting years for! This along with Village People Macho Moves and Agent Jane Blonde Returns. Microgaming is really packing a punch this year, with fully dressed dancers and DJs to create a buzzing atmosphere as it reveals more details.

NetEnt also revealed its Ozzy Osbourne slot, giving us yet another rocking slot, as well as the warrior Conan. As if that’s not enough to get us jumping around in excitement, SG Digital debut its Michael Jackson MegaStar, bringing the King of Pop back to life! Epic!

What’s Next?

We’re only on the second day and it’s already been jam-packed with slot releases, industry news and keynote speeches about the marketplace. And we’ve had loads of cool dancing, costumes and chances to meet celebs. Let’s see what the next day can bring!
